On January 25, Fo Guang Shan Miami Temple held a Dharma service to commemorate the Buddha’s Enlightenment, also known as "Dharma Day." Nearly 90 devotees, led by Venerable Chueh Yan, sincerely chanted the Heart Sutra and offered praise to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, reflecting on the profound truth of Dependent Origination realized by the Buddha upon his enlightenment.

During the service, a formal handover ceremony for the new term of chapter leadership was held. Certificates of appointment were presented to the new chapter committee members, and awards were given to members who achieved perfect scores on the Buddha’s Light General Exam. Through this passing of the torch and the recognition of educational achievements, the community came together to honor the auspicious occasion of the Buddha's enlightenment in an atmosphere filled with warmth and Dharma joy.

On the morning of the event, the temple prepared Laba Congee to share with the public, spreading the joy of the Buddha's enlightenment. Officers from various chapters assisted in packaging and distribution. In total, nearly 1,200 bowls of Laba Congee were distributed to members and the local community, fostering positive connections and demonstrating the spirit of Humanistic Buddhism in serving society and benefiting all beings.
