Welcome to the Fo Guang Shan Miami Temple
Founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, in 1967, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Fo Guang Shan is a Buddhist Temple focuses on the teaching of Humanistic Buddhism. It promotes the harmonious integration of the Dharma and everyday life. Today, the Fo Guang community brings together over a million dedicated practitioners and volunteers from around the world. Fo Guang Shan upholds and practices the teachings of the Buddha and is committed to bringing joy to all people.
Fo Guang Shan Miami Temple, located in Tamarac, Broward County, Florida, is one of Fo Guang Shan's 300 temples throughout the world. It has been serving the South Florida community since 2003. Fo Guang Shan Miami Temple is a multi-purpose facility and an ideal place for Buddhist practice. The Temple adheres to the Bodhisattva path of Humanistic Buddhism through the promotion of culture, education, art, charity and cultivation.
Temple activities include: Sunday Chanting Dharma Service, Meditation Retreat, Dharma Lectures, Dharma Study Groups, etc. The temple celebrates major Buddhist festivals, including annual Buddha’s Birthday Celebration, Medicine Buddha Dharma Service, Amitabha Buddha Dharma Service, and much more.
